A quick search in the web and you'll find masturbation being one of the causes of premature ejaculation and prostate enlargement. What puzzles me most is, masturbation in a way is similar to intercourse, stimulates the penis and ultimately leads to climax, but sexual intercourse is not blamed for causing premature ejaculation and prostate enlargement. Does anyone know why ?

That's a myth propagated by overzealous religious nut-jobs and homeopathic witch doctors.  Not exactly people of substantial credit.  If anything, excessive masturbation(and intercourse) desensitizes you, you'll know the difference once you hit 30, I promise.
